SOURCE: replacing the drum baffle in kenmore elite he3t front loading washers
The baffle basket, I ordered from sears for my Kenmore Elite he3t washer was a "new" design but the screw holes lined up. My baffle basket did not come with the screw either. I took out the screw from an existing baffle basket and found something close. Test it in the baffle basket before you try to install it. Be careful not to drop the screw or bit.
To replace the baffle basket. Remove top of washer using a screwdriver with a T20 torque bit. There are three screws at the rear. The top slides back about an inch and lift up. Place aside. Then you will see a hose going into the drum. Ignore the clamp, just squeeze the end going into the drum and work it out. Now you need to insert the baffle basket in the drum through the front door. It is easiest to rotate the drum so you are inserting it on the bottom. It slides in with the small end toward you and you must pull it forward. Hold the drum for leverage. Now rotate the drum so the new baffle is on top. You need to line up the screw hole and screw in a small screw. Replace the hose and top of washer.
Good Luck...
SOURCE: Change one baffle only or do you need to replace all three?

Open the top of the machine (look behind the top for several screws to remove) and slide it back to release from the cabinet. This should give you access to the screws that hold the vane in place. Hope this helps!
