Problem for Kodak EASYSHARE M1063 Digital Camera

The lens comes out then the camera turns off

when you turn the camera on the screen comes on, shows the Kodak screen and the lens comes out then the lens goes back in and the camera turns of. you can put the camera on favorites and it will stay on but as soon as you move the dial on the top with the auto, iso, scn, ect., it will shut off.

Your camera has it own doctor built in, if it sees an internal error it will shut down. When a camera turns on it goes through a series of tests, if one of these test fails your camera records an error. If the lens is moving in and out your camera is trying to get the lens to function. As such you have a faulty camera.
