Re: My laptop vista

When the files in your system are corrupted, your HP laptop would reboot automatically. When the files which are required to run the Operating System like fonts under Windows FONTS directory are been smashed then your system's Operating System will force your HP Laptops to restart continuously. Thus in such a situation you would have to change the name FONTS in the Windows directory.

Re: My laptop vista

Have you tried powering down the laptop, and rebooting with your recovery disk in the drive? If that doesn't work, try rebooting again with an external keyboard attached. If the external keyboard works, then it's not your OS.

I bought a HP laptop from game, its out of the warrenty period, the pc crash and i need the program to re-install it, i only got the Product key thats on the back of the laptop. Please help

Hi there,

From complete shutdown of the computer turn it on and immediately start tapping the F11 key that should initiate the Factory reset of HP if the recovery drive is still intact. If not you may have to use a Vista DVD to reinstall your Operating System.

Sir i loss my vista ion product key

Did you install the software before you lost it or did you lose the product key before you had a chance to install it?

If you lost it after you installed the software, the product key is contained in the software all you need is to download some 3rd party software that will be able to recover it for you.Just google "recover Vista Product Key"

Install Product Key Explorer: Product Key Explorer displays product key for Windows, MS Office, other software products installed on your computers. In order to install or reinstall Microsoft Office, Windows, or other commercial software, you must have access to a product serial key (CD Key) for that product. Need 25-character Vista key to buy backups from MS!

Hello John,

Unfortunately none of the PC manufacturers, with the exception of Toshiba and Dell, ship with recovery disks anymore. Instead, you have the option to create recovery disks after you purchase the computer. HP for example, used 3 DVD-R's to create recovery disks. And when you use those discs to recover your system it will revert it back to the way it was when you purchased it. So unfortauntely, the only way to get a set of recovery discs is to purchase them from HP. They cost about $30 on average. And unless you want to just purchase a new full copy of windows, purchasing the recovery discs are the only way to recover your system... legally.

To order HP's discs, just go to their support site at and search for your model number. It will then give you the instructions on how to order your specific discs.
