Question about Sony UVW1800 VCR
First i had a 02-403 error & followed all instructions, but tape did not eject.
now I have 02-874 error code & "t-reel" does not do anything
a tape is still stuck in my deck
??? Help, please!
02-874 error code signifies a defective takeup reel. The reel is not winding the tape in, so the deck won't go through the eject procedure. Check the connection to the takeup reel motor; if that's OK, the motor itself may be bad. Rarely, the takeup reel motor assembly will need to be replaced; usually it's a connection problem.
