when the tv is turned on the picture appears briefly then goes to black with sound only

I have the same problem.

After tv is on for awhile it will picture will go black but there will be sound

Toshiba CX32723: Picture will go to black and come back randomly, often with red-tinged or darkened picture. Is this worth repairing?
