Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

I have a Toshiba Satalite Model P5277U. I have bought a new battery and charger. The problem I am having is that the computer will shut down within ten to fifteen minutes after bringing it up. Then the indicator lamp for incoming power will turn yellow. I have to disconnect the battery and adapter befor I get a green light from the adapter and a yellow light for the battery. I leave the charger on over night and the next time I try to bring up the computer it shuts down as before. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I have a Satellite L300 running Windows 7. I can charge the battery up using the OEM charger that came with the laptop. However, the computer will not operate if the charger is plugged in. I can do...

right off the bat, i would suspect a bad power adapter for the computer. or perhaps a faulty computer. your best bet is to call toshiba and talk to them directly.

Every battery has a lifetime . Please make sure your laptop battery is within this lifetime.
Also please confirm that the new charger that you have bought is Original.
Please do check for the pin which connects laptop and the charger for any damage.

When i plug my charger in to my satalite L655 and turn it on. An orange light flashes.

Hello, stoneyless
The orange flashing you are referring to means that your battery is currently out of power. I would recommend trying a friends laptop charger (same brand and model) to rule out the charger, if you know the borrowed charger is in working condition and your pc still doesn't power on then you may blame the battery. From that point i would send it in Toshiba for a replacement battery AND charger (if still under warrenty). if warrenty is no longer viable you would have no choice but to find a suitable replacement for either the charger or battery. OR you can buy the same Laptop and take out the battery and laptop cable and return the laptop with the faulty equipment.

My Toshiba c650-18k laptop is just 1 month old i was playing on it and when i went to shut down before shutting down it turned off automatically and when i tried tom turn it on it is not turning on.I tried...

It sounds like your charger is not working. If you can check the voltage out of the charger or if there is an indicator on the charger that would be my first place to look. Only do simple checks as the and it should still be under warranty being only a month or two old. If you have another charger that would fit then try swapping it out to get you going in the short run. You can always warranty old charger. Or if you bought it locally consider returning it to the store.
