Why doesn't my Toro z master PTO not engage

While cutting my grass the PTO was working fine. The grass was longer than normal and after 30-45min the PTO stopped working. The engine would run but the blades wouldn't engage. Could it be getting to hot or maybe fuses?

SOURCE: Toro Recycler engine doesn't rev up when control arm is engaged

check the throttle spring in the front of the engine. It is hooked to a loop and when going near a bush it will push in and slow the rpms down.If you locate it pull it out and the RPM"s should increase.

Changed filter, oil, full of gas checked gas flow everything is good , when I start m lawn mower it runs , when I engage my pto and start mowing for about 5 minutes it just quits

if this is got the 27 hp kohler engine, I know exactly whats wrong with it , due to grass and engine oil building up in a short time under cylinder heads , it actually makes a tight ball of grass and stuff there !! this holds the engine heat and ruins the ign module that's just above it there , I put two on in one season ( tractor runs 6-10 hrs day 6 days a week ) I finally gave up I bought a Kawasaki 27 hp twin and installed it , now its run for two seasons and no problems
engaging the pto has nothing to do with it , it would cut off if you just drove it around for 15 minutes

I have a toro z master 42" cut 17 HP Kawasaki zero

Could be a bad bearing or could be something rubbing against something. Are the blades sprung so they are touching part of the body or something they shouldn't Just ideas to check out.

Time cutter PTO clutch switch clicks when I engage the switch but will not engage the belts

Check under the deck and make sure the blades can spin freely, there will be resistance but mostly check to see if they are stuck. If they are not and can move, you can try to remove the belt from the pto, engage and see if it spins then. If it does not than there is probably an issue with pto clutch

My front wheels won't engage on my Toro. Belt is fine, and spool is turning. Looks like the box isn't in the right position for the gears to engage. Is there a simple fix?????

not with toro. this usually happens if cutting high grass. try taking it apart, clean it. make sure belt is not stretched out and jammed.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
