Yellow malfunction

The yellow cartridge is leaking and basically unsaveable however it is very expensive to replace. Is there any way that I can still print without a yellow cartridge installed, I mostly print in black and white and I don't want it to leak all over every page.

I'm afraid not. The printer expects all three cartridges to be present. If a cartridge leaks, you might be able to return it for an exchange if it's relatively new. Cartridges shouldn't leak at all.
