As stated no power to the upper half of fuse box inside panel. Windows will not go up, motor turns over but will not start. Battery is fully charged and load test is good. I have checked the fuses all are good in the 3 fuse boxes. The power doors work, the rear hatch works. Do the 2 relays in the fuse box next to the battery control this the power to the inside.

Look for a fuseable link in the wire harness. It is usually in a red wire and is more flexable that the wire it connects to.

SOURCE: power window problem

On my girlfriend's Civic, the same problem cropped up and it was the driver's door switch assembly. The power for all the windows is routed to the driver's door switches, and from there, out to the other doors (that's how the window lock on the driver's door is able to shut off the window power in the back doors). If your driver's door switch assembly has failed, you'd have no power to the windows, regardless of which switches you're trying to use. I'd suggest going to a salvage yard and finding a new driver's door switch assembly and swapping it into your car and see if that fixes it. It shouldn't run you more than $15 or so, and they're generally pretty easy to swap out - figure a few basic tools and maybe a half hour or 45 minutes of your time.

Is there a fuse for the power windows?

This is an experienced guess. It has to have either fuses or a circuit breaker. On Nissan's there are fuse blocks in the engine compartment and inside the car left upper panel. Usually the fuse cover is labeled.

then it goes through left hand circuit breaker which is behind leftkick panel above fuse panel I think. there are 2 circuit breakers next to each other.

check for an open fuse.
1. Be sure the ignition switch and the headlight
switch are OFF.
2. Open the engine hood.
3. Remove the fuse box cover by pushing the

4. Locate the blown fuse. or look on fuse box cover to see what each fuse does.

Nissan Quest 2004 Tail Lights

Robynumber1,

Thanks for the email back. The nissan quest tail lights werenot operating, but the break lights were working. This was ultimately caused by a blown fuse. The fuse was blown by loose trailer lighting wires dragging on the ground, thus shorting. Problem fixed.
