The simplest way to do this is to grab a copy of the A10_IPR utility that Epson distribute to their customers...

The utility is available to North American customers if you register no this site page http://www.epson.com/ipr/

The utility is also know to be available in the wild if you search for "waste ink ipr".

Just remember to scan any download using a virus and malware scanner before you attempt to use it as some utilities contain trojans or similar nasties.

Not seen THAT particular message before..
Given that Epson and a lot of other printer manufacturers produce their printers and sell them at a loss in the hope that customers will buy the inks (which are the real earners), and have their printers serviced by their service centre (usually at a cost higher than the actual value of the printer), I would seriously consider getting another printer, but only after this one has expired. There is a lot of difference between a warning message and a dead printer.. I'd advise running it into the ground then recycling it responsibly

Try disconnecting the power supply from the electrical outlet and the usb connection to the computer for 10 full minutes and then reconnect both. This usually works.
