Question about HP PSC 2355 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When I try to print or copy the paper is fed through in the normal way but it continues to feed until approx. half of the paper has passed the print heads. Then it stops and a "paper jam" message appears. No printing takes place. I have recently been using the printer in "Fast" mode and a number of real jams have occured.
I found a piece of black plastic resting on one of the print head cleaning pads. It looks like it has broken off a device that is located near the print heads in their parked position. The device appears to be mounted on a roller shaft or near it and it has a spring attached. It looks like it may be a paper stop to hold back the sheet before printing begins.
The fault is the paper stop sensor is broken. Have the same problem myself. I don't think there is an easy solution to this as the sensor arm will have to be replaced and I think the m/c would have to be stripped down to do it. Nice to know if anybody has any ideas though.
