My Sansa e260 is about 2 years old..only theres a couple problems. It doesn't charge sometimes, and when it DOES charge, out of nowhere the screen simply says "Shut Off" and it turns off. This is no more than 10 seconds after i turned it on. And yes, ive formatted, reformatted, and tried the recovering processes. Any ideas?

- actaully no, i bought a BRAND SPANKIN new battery for it and STILL the exact same problem(so its not the battery) And the sansa also heats up EXTREMELY fast! not sure why....?

My sansa is older than your 1 year.Same prob,I agree that this is time to replace battery
