Question about Garden
I was cleaning the pool and was called away and turned off the water to my pentair pump. I came back 1 to 1.5 hours later with the pump still running and hot. I does run but will not pull water from the pool. I have a valve between the pump and the filter that shows some sign of pressure when I open it when the pump is running. Does anyone know the answer to my problem.
The threaded fitting on the suction side has melted and is letting air in. You'll first have to replumb that to find if there's any other damage. It's possible that's all that's wrong.

Sorry to have to tell you but you are going to have to either have your pump rebuilt or replaced. Sounds like you baked the plastic impeller and maybe did even more damage. These pumps require water in order to keep cool.
