Make sure CD is (-) R and not CD (+) R. It will not recognize the wrong polarity sign CD.

i prefer u to use windows 7 ,it cheap and convienience in burning and any kind of disk without a programme(like nero) to do that and it have usb mobe for cd or dvdr mean it use your cd/dvd r like a usb (read,delete file even it a cd-r not a cd-rw)just simply double click in your drive and it will ask u to do that
