Water flow has slowed down.

I bought this unit 8/26/08. I have had several Bunn coffee makers over the years and it seems they last about 3 to 5 years then the water flow problem starts. I have taken the unit apart and can find no reason for this.

Remove the spray head and clean it .also run the cleaning spring through the spray head tube this is what makes them slow down is minerals in the water.

Try cleaning it. Or let the specialist do it. Take it to where you bought it. If it still the same, my advice is replace it with a new one.

My Bunn coffee pot seems to pour out so quickly. The grounds come out the back and all over the counter and in the coffee.

if the coffee is ground too fine, it'll take longer to brew through. either grind more coarse or call bunn for a flow restrictor (800) 352-BUNN (2866)

Why does my Bunn coffeemaker spill over the filters when I use Bunn Filters.

I purchased a special flow restrictor sprayhead from BunnAtHome.com because I use decaf coffee. Also if you use a finer grind then you need this to slow the water so it doesn't overflow.

My basket always overflows, the water doesn,t empty fast enough

Here is the SOLUTION(S):
1. Buy a sprayhead that restricts the flow2. Let the water flow through for a few minutes, then lift the lid while it flows through.3. Don't use Decaf4. Plug up a couple holes on your current spray head

Filter basket overflows after cleaning Bunn VPR Coffee Maker

Some people also try adding fresh grounds to brewed grounds, resulting in an overflow. A restricter valve can be used, but a better solution is to simply pour in half the water at a time. This is what people who buy non Bunn filters do to stop overfills.

Bunn Coffee Maker Not Working

Tammy,

Plug the coffee maker in and fiIl with water again and let it flow through. Do this several times.

I don't think household bleach would cause any damage to the unit. Industrial bleach, yes, but not household, especially if diluted with water.

Let me know what you find.

Slow recovery on bunn o matic for next cycle

You could have scale building up on the heating element and thermostat probe. try running a 1/3 white vinigar - 2/3 water mix into the brewer, let it heat up completely, then run several pots of clear water through the unit. keep pouring water through it until the vinigar smell is out of the water,

OVER FLOW

The Bunn needs Bunn filters because they are thinner and let water through faster. The cheaper filters will overflow. Bunn's claim to fame is fast...this is just part of the fast process.

My bunn is too slow

Use the de-liming spring to clean the copper tube behind the spray head. Pour several pots of clear white vinegar through the unit to further remove lime and scale from the interior of your coffee maker. My Bunn is 24 years old, and the only replacement parts I've ever required are new carafes and the 4041 silicone washer repair kit.
