SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do i open the ports on my thomson wireless router so i can change my nat status on call of duty black ops

I dont undestand your question to well, NAT stands for (Network Address Translation) examle, your router has a LAN IP address of let say 192.168.1.1 and has a WAN IP address of let say 69.51.200.23 than for the traffic to be able to flow trough the WAN side to the LAN side the router NAT's the traffic from one side to the other, PORTS on the other hand are to let a spesific service trough the FIREWALL on the WAN side to a sepsific machine on the LAN side, since NAT is not a service, I dont think you need to open anny ports in your router's FIREWALL to play or modify a setting in the console. As for the game (I'm not an expert) but i think it uses the term NAT for some sort of filter to filter out un wanted players I think (nothing to do with Network Adress Translation or PORTS)

IF I'm wrong just post a coment!!!

Where is your NAT configuration to open and close it for this router? I've watched YOUTUBE videos on where to find the NAT section and I don't have one. Help me I just want my PS3 to have a type 2 NAT so...

Belkin uses the term "Port Forwarding" in the "Firewall" section of the configuration web pages instead of the term "NAT".
For each port that you need to forward to the PS3, create a separate entry in the "Virtual Servers" section.
If that's too much work, then determine the private IP address of your PS3 and add that address to the DMZ for your router. The DMZ settings area is also in the "Firewall" section of your router configuration web pages.
For more information, go to the Belkin support web site and select "G" for "1" and "F5D9231-4" for "2" and the select either V2000 or V1000 depending of your router version (see the bottom of the router) and download the user manual.
While you are there, check whether there is a firmware update for the router available.

Cannot FTP at all behind Thomson tg585v7

Hi, your router will by default block all incoming packets from outside. You need to configure a firewall rule to allow tcp port 20 and 21 from outside and specify that it must be sent to the IP address of the pc running the FTP server software. Also make sure that your FTP server and firewall on the pc allows these ports in by checking your firewall on your pc.

Thomson TG585v7 keeps rebooting periodically. This happens approx. three to four times a day

Thomson Router rebooting - I am in N.Z. and have the exact same Thomson Wireless Router, TG585v7, Software version 7.4.2.7. My previous D-Link Wireless router never gave me any trouble, as soon as I installed the Thomson, I kept losing connectivity. I could watch it rebooting in front of me, all lights off, restart and reconnect. I complained to my ISP who sent me another - exactly same problem. We were away for a week and it never rebooted once. I started wondering about Wifi devices , we use an HP Ipaq (it won't connect at all to the Thomson but will to other Acess Points) - have turned Ipaq off for days on end to eliminate but Router still rebooting several times a day. My wife has an Apple IPod and it seems "perhaps" it's when that is charging that we have problems. We are working through that isolation now, I'd be interested to know if you have other wireless enabled equipment - could even be a neighbour's unit interfering.

Cheers

No matter what i do, ports will not forward

you have to TURN ON both FIREWALL AND NAT, and then configure the nat forwarding + firewall rule and then it will work
it's a known bug @ zy boxes

Listenning port bit comet

BitComet requires you to be able to receive incoming connections. If you're behind a NAT router but don't have port forwarding configured properly, incoming connections will be stopped by your router (won't get to your computer). You need to configure port forwarding, so your router knows that the incoming connections are for BitComet and will be allowed through (= forwarded) to your computer.

There are several versions of your router:
DSL-2640B, DSL-2640Bv2,...
Go here, scroll (almost all the way down) and find your router model.
On the next page, skip the advertisement (upper right corner) and look for BitComet.
Simply follow the instructions on that page - they are precise and correct.

In general: You can use ANY port, but I would prefer a listen port between 49152 and 65534 because they're classed as "Dynamic and/or Private Ports" by IANA, so nothing else should be using them by default and they're not the standard ones blocked by ISP's or trackers, but - as I said - you can enter any other port you wish.

If you have any more questions, just come back and let me know - I'm happy to help.

Good luck & thanks for rating!

Cant open ports in elephant with router thomson TG585v7

You need to log on to the router using the default gateway.
Go to Start menu -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
type ipconfig
Note the default gateway
open your browser, in the address bar type in the default gateway ip address - like 192.168.1.254 --- or whatever the IP is.

That should open your router config pages... if it asks you for a user name and password... default usernames depend on your ISP usually, but try for the username Admin, admin, Administrator, administrator and for the password try the same as the username or leave blank... If you have no luck contact your ISP for logging on details.

A web page will open - go to
Toolbox
Game And Application Sharing
At top right click configure
Make sure UPnP and Extended Security are selected if you have those options
Then at the bottom
Create a New Game or Application
from there you just need to select which protocols you need to work with or select ANY
Enter the port you want opened
and add the same port number to the destination / trigger port.

That should be you. If not you need to telnet into you router
Telnet <default gateway IP>
and type Menu
The follow the previous instructions.
