Question about Raypak Rp2100 Pool & Spa Heater Lonox 407k Btu Natural Gas Polymer Header Digital Rp407aenc
I just installed a used rp 2100. At first it fired up great. The water temp was 72 and I set the thermostat to 82. It heated for about eight hours reaching about 80 degrees. I checked on it later and the thermostat setting dropped to 65 on its own. I tried to turn it back up but the panel wouldn't respond. I turned of the switch on the side and then turned it back on. It allowed me to reset the thermostat, but when I set it higher than the water temp it sparked and them immediately returned to 65 and locked me out. I did this several times with the same result. I then turned off the breaker to the unit and left it off for a while. When I powered the unit back up it functioned correctly. After a few hours I went to check on it and it was back to 65 and locked out. I repeated the breaker procedure which made it function properly for a while but then returned to 65 again... Any suggestions?
