Why is the water on my kenmore refrigerator coming out so slow?

I do not know the unit but it sounds like the water filter has plugged. Just replace the filter and the problem will go away. The ice maker can fill very slowly and you would not notice it.

My ice machine is not working ... I haven't changed my filter in 4.5 years ... Just purchased a filter today! Installed it ... should this fix the problem?

Make sure the on off switch is in the On position. If there is one it's a small white rocker switch on the ice maker. Make sure the wire bar is down, if there is one. if this dose not work you may have to change the water inlet solenoid on the back of the refrigerator.

How do you use a cuisinart frozen yogurt ice cream & sorbet maker

look on line; lots of manuals and recipes available. I'd say yours is one where you freeze the bowl over not and refrigerate the mix overnight too. You can buy the mix, but much more fun to make you own. I'd be borrowing a book from the library so you can experiment, but generally its make a 4 egg custard + 6 tblspn caster suger + 300 ml cream + flavour eg vanilla. I use powder custard + twice as much sugar to make custard and it works too! have fun

perhaps there is not enough water being brought to the ice maker from the inlet valve. you may have to change the valve.

I have a Jenn Air, french door style, bottom freezer. with the water dispenser on the inside left jamb of the box. there is also a ice maker. for the first 9 months every thing worked very well. then...

You have another plugged filter. That is why you ice cubes are hollow, the water is flowing so slowly into the ice maker, it does not fill up.

Recommend you install an external filter somewhere in the feeder line that connects to the rear of the refrigerator. The are surprisingly inexpensive, compared to the filter inside the new 'fridges. I recommend you buy a replacement external filter cartridge at the same time you buy the external filter kit. Of course you will need to change the internal filter one more time or bypass it per any instructions provided with your fridge.

Kitchenaid fridge (ksrw25crss02)icemaker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispencer.

hi kev215,
welcome to fixya.com.

Huuum at your service.

You said, the ice maker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispenser.

The first thing I would ask is when did you last change your water filter in the fridge?
Or if it's an older fridge with an inline filter behind the fridge!
check the shut off valve for the water line that leads to you ice maker. under the sink or in the basement or where ever the line comes from. I've seen where someone turned the valve a little clockwise unbeknown to the home owner and stopped or slowed the water flow.

The water line should be checked too, for any kinking that may be running behind the fridge or some unseen place!

How old is the fridge??

Let me know,
Thank you Huuum
