This could be because you're running the laptop screen at the same time as the projector and they are different native resolutions.

Use the Fn + F key to toggle the displays so that only the projector gets a signal. Then adjust the laptop display resolution to match the projector's native pixel count,

How to make the picture from laptop to projector the right size.

I would suggest it's probably a screen resolution an older laptop VGA output was probably 800x600. The projector will also have a recommended and maximum resolution. The newer laptop will have a much higher resolution. You will need to adjust the laptop's video resolution to the optimum projector resolution

What to do with a image that is cut off?

Hi Anonymous,

Most of the time, when an image is cut off the problem is coming from the source.

I assume you are using a computer connected to the projector? Try using different resolutions in your computer's settings. If you are using Windows, right click on your desktop (away from any icons) and go to screen resolution to make the changes.

I hope this helps!

Projector Image Cut Off, Native Resolution Not Recognized by PC

after you connect the laptop and the image shifts to the right, press auto adjust on the remote and the image will get OK.
If not try resetting the projector settings to factory [not the lamp settings]
this should solve the problem

The filter needs replacing. Do you sell replacement filters for model CP-X1250?

Take the filter to the local electronics repair shop and ask them for some filter material like the one in the unit. Then cut it to size to fit like the old one.

Uncentered image using projector

reset the settings to factory default. is it cut off evenly, or is it uneven and shadowed? if it is the latter and you have a dlp projector, you have a collapsed light tunnel. if it is cut off evenly, go into the settings and make sure the resolution and screen size matches.
