Question about Saniflo & Saniplus& Macerator Pump
We have a macerator and for the most part it has been fine, however since we had a new flatmate move in who has longer showers it makes a funny noise, then stops working and all the water gets blocked up. It won’t kick back in for another 10-15 minutes, at which point all the water will drain and we can use the shower and sink again. Does anyone know why this happens? Do we need to get a plumber to come and take out the macerator to see if something is blocking it or is this normal? Many thanks for your help.
The macerator is over heating.check the maintenance opening and clean it ,but you may need a more powerful macerator, some are made only for flushing systems (as in toilets) a pro-longed use may be making it overheat.. good luck
