Question about Pioneer AVIC-N4 GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Ipod Touch 16g

I have a similar problem with my Pioneer AVIC-N4 system. When I plug in my ipod I get the Error A(0) message. However, my girlfriend's Ipod Touch 32g works on my same system! Any suggestions?

Try resetting your Ipod. I had the same problem with 3 different Pioneer head units. This solution worked just fine.

You also might not want to connect or disconnect the Ipod when the head unit is on.

Pioneer AVIC N4 stereo/gps/xm/dvd/cd/nav system

HI,

I know it means "electrical or mechanical problem" according to the manual. You probably are not able to read or even eject a CD. There is no solution offerred, so you will have to get professional help.

I will suggest first contacting Pioneer at www.pioneerelectronics.com, email or call tech support. Read the online user manual also if you don't have one. They might refer you to a local repair shop, and you can always try to get help from whoever installs the unit for you or you have bought it from.

Sorry that I won't have further knowledge on this. My instinct will be to disconnect the power completely and see if it resets.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate or accept the solution

My ipod wont play on my AVIC F910BT

I don't know if you fixed it already this iPod sound trouble, but I got ot also and found how to fix this trouble.
In fact there's a setup to do and mention in the User Manual (page 89 on the english one) the AV1 config should be selected as iPod

Using an iPod (iPod) Starting procedure
Connect your iPod.
No sound or video output if iPod is selected
as AV source, check the setting in “AV1
Input” on the “AV System Settings” menu.

IPOD is plugged in but no sound comes out

To users who connect your iPod with the navigation
Before you use iPod, change the settings of "AV1Input" so
that the audio and video signal of connected iPod can be output.
1.Press MENU button to display "Top Menu".
2.Touch [Settings] and then touch [AV Settings].
3.Touch [AV1Input] to switch the setting to "iPod".

Ipod problems with Pioneer AVIC-D3

Do you have an ipod module or are you using ibus-to-rca cable to connect your ipod to the D3? In order to control full ipod functions by touch screen you need the ipod module, hence the D3 says ipod control ready not ipod control built in. Let me know so I can pin point the problem.

IPod Touch TV Out not working

Not sure if that works, but me us know if it does. Everything I have read suggests that it will not work. Apple has blocked any after market products from working like avic-d3. I think what you would also need with that is Apple TV. Let me know
