Question about Bosch 1617014127 Brush Set For 11224vsr

1 Answer

Hammer drill quit

I've replaced the brushes and the trigger switch.
Power cord is good.
Maybe the direction lever above the trigger is bad.
I hate to keep throwing parts at it.
Any thoughts?

If it is an 1199, forget it. Replace the brushes and do NOT use for hammering. It is a design problem. My unit was repaired 4 times and hammered about 5 holes each time before same failure.

My GT5250-1 generator quit producing electricity ,I have replaced the capacitor and the circuit breakers and still does not work. Do you have any further advice?

start it up. plug in a corded power drill and spin the drills chuck by hand while holding the trigger on. if the drill runs that means the genset lost its flash. and if that works you just reflashed it. this usually works in a lot of cases. if not maybe you need new brushes. good luck

The only things that would cause this are a burnt out trigger switch or the motor brushes are worn out.

How to find why my drill will not work?

if it is a reversible drill make sure the direction ;lever is fully in one position or the other
any where in between will not allow the motor to work

check the position of the forward/reverse switch as if it is not properly positioned the current doesn't know which way to spin the motor
check that switch for loose wire or being faulty

I have a Bosch 1/2"

Sounds as though you are on the right track. I would take it apart, and see if the trigger could have some dirt or other material causing it to stick, or is it worn to the point that it needs to be replaced. Good luck!
