SOURCE: My LG's headphone icon stays
Hi the problem is going to be with the part that you plug the head phones into have a good look and make sure nothing is stuck in their as this can cause the problem you are having.
failing that, the chances are the solder holding the socket onto the circuit board has failed and is causing the phone to think the head phones are plugged in, now this could be an easy fix and just need soldering but their is also the chance it could be the firmware on the phone that has got corrupt and is causing the problem you are having.
the problem is their is nothing you can do yourself about this as it will require soldering and getting the phone flashed and the firmware reset, if this is the case and its the firmware then make sure you back everything up as it will be wiped and the phone reset.
now the cheapest place to have this done is one of those smaller independant phone shops the bigger branded ones will send them off and they will then charge you for this service so bare this in mind when taking your phone in for repair.
Im sorry their is no easy fix for your phone but it will either need some solder work doing which will need to be done by machine to prevent over heating to other parts and the firmware can also only be reset and re-flashed at a phone shop, now the smaller phone shops will charge you a lot less compared to the bigger branded phone shops.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

When you Plug in HeadPhones into the Laptop the Sound Playing should automatically Bi-Pass the Speakers and go Straight to the Headphones
-Unless there is a Faulty Input for the Speaker/ Headphone, Try Pushing in the Headphones More to see if the Speakers Turn Off
Hope this Works --P3NGYJ03

This is not possible with Windows. You would need to purchase a mixer program of some sort. The USB headset is seen by the Operating System as a stand alone sound card. Windows will not mix two sound cards.

Yeah, i also had this problem with my dare. I did what was already posted, plugging and unplugging my headphones until i got the message about there being no microphone. The speakers and microphone on the phone works now.
Hope it works for you =)
