Samsung UN40D6000SFXZA TV has blue screen with vertical lines of various shades of blue.

You may try a new T-CON, but most of the problem could be a display panel.

My Sony KP-65WS500 is flashing blue screen and horozontal lines and now has a black box about 1ft x 1ft box in screen. It will do this for about five to 30 seconds and then cuts off. I can see the picture...

hi,

Remove the front cover or the back. You need to look for the color gun it will look like a small box with 3 screws. Slightly turn the screws to adjust the color in your case in and out blue and arching lines.. Now the box sounds like a picture in picture function.. Would have to see it. Now it it cuts off power after 5-30 seconds after doing this you could have a bad capacitor on the power supply board which is sending the set into fault protection. A Bad cap with be poped at the top (X) -Top view of a cap should be flat. NOt rasied or poped.

Best Regards and Semper Fi

Picture fades in and out to the color blue. sometimes entire picture is blue

id check the blue screen control first
its at the bottom of the set you will have to take the front panel off and behind it is another small black panel remove that one
and to select any function those controls need to be attached so slide that front panel to the left there and take you remote put the tv on video input
and there are sic controls on this little black screen control block
look for the screen controls and turn the blue one just slightly clockwise and you will see the blue screen will light up and you will have little arched lines turn the control back slowly till the lines disaper and the screen goes black

and then cycle the set off give it five mins or so and restart it and see if every thing returns and your video is being displayed then switch it back to your input and view and reassemble

Blue screen after 5 minutes, no picture

Cheack your cables
All of them on all devices down the line.
If all cables are good then you probably have a bad solderjoint on the input itself witch is a cheap and easy fix in itself.

There is just three lines that show red, green and blue.

It has been my experience with Sonys that those three colored lines indicate that the set is having trouble with the data communication lines. The hitch is that a model as complex as that one has as many as five seperate clock/data lines and if any one of them goes down the set will exhibit your symptom. It will take a professional to track down which line is causing the problem. I've seen audio output IC's as well as tuners cause the problem.

Unit displays intermittent blue screen. No break in sound as connected by Digi coax. Video via HDMI

hmm..sounds like an input issue..check all cables for breaks, bends, cracks, etc...blue screen is video equivalent of a bad ground, sometimes..
