After logging into my Samsung my laptop goes blue.

boot in safe mode with networking by pressing "F8" if all is OK download malwarebytes and scan the computer for problems.

2 things...
first in task manager hit "New Task" and type "explorer" and hit enter see if that brings the desktop up

2nd on boot up hit the f8 key and startup in safe mode

either way when you get to your desk top find the last good back up and do a system restore

You might have to many apps running at the same time you might want to access the task manager and exit some apps or download the advanced task killer from the market.

1. First, ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
2. Confirm that your password is not hacked by loging into your yahoo email account with the same user ID that your using to login to the yahoo messenger, by going to http://mail.yahoo.com.
3. If you are able to log into your email account, your ID is safe.
4. Try to kill yahoo messenger on your system using "Task Manager"
5. To open Task Manager, right click on your computer's task bar at the bottom and click on "Task Manager".
6. Next, click on the "Process" tab in Task Manager, select "YahooMessenger.exe" and click on "End Process" button.
7. If you cannot find "YahooMessenger.exe", then select "Ymsgr_tray.exe" and click on "end process".
8. Now start your yahoo messenger again and try to login. You should be able to login succesfully.

9. If your Internet connection is fine and you have followed the above-mentioned process and still cannot login to yahoo messenger, your system's fire wall is probably obstructing yahoo messenger to access internet.
10. Change the necessary settings on your firewall to leverage access to yahoo messenger.

try to boot in safe mode.. remove all startups from msconfig. restart computer check if still do the same problem.

Push start, go into accessories then to task manager, you'll see all your running apps. Shut it down from there. I also put task manager on my speed dial so I can access it without digging for it.

you have a virus and its interfering with explorer.exe. when you start up your computer press F8 startup windows in safe mode with networking and go to start menu and all programs accessory and system tools click on system restore and pick a date before you started notching this problem and click on start restore. if you have any ? call 364-1424

By going into the Task manager, type windows explorer in the new tab. That should bring up your desktop icons, The reason for this could be that you have a lot of applications trying to load all at once and it can cause some lock up in the system.
A full system repair should be your last choice.

If you are certain that you are logged on as administrator or has administrator privileges, then a virus is preventing your opening of the Task Manager. Additionally, the same virus is likewise preventing access to the Folder Option and the MSCONFIG function.

Of course the correct solution would be to run a full deep virus scan and delete detected ones. You can also try running RRT.exe to force access to the above functions.

This maybe due to the "explorer.exe" process not running. Try pressing ctrl-alt-del, to start the task manager then select the "processes" tab and click on "file". In the "create new task" window type "explorer.exe" (without quotes) & click OK. Your desktop icons should magically appear!
