The sound on my tv just went off by itself

Tries tv unplug,replug it back in like about an hour later for the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting.The tv now should be working again.If the tv still have the same result.Mean ur tv the tv power supply board it is the problems and the causes.That the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board for the replacement.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.For the tv,to do a resetting itself.It is an auto detection mechanism to protected itself circuitries for not letting more power than it need for damaging itself.This disconnection and reconnection of the power source should be able to give ur tv a 50/50 chances to be working again.Not,must hire a tv tech. to for a trouble shooting and replace components parts,bcause the lightening have a source power to high of a voltages for the tv protection circuitries to handle.

unplug 2 ribon cables they are white then plug them back in  should fix it 

Best thing to do is unplug your TV for about an hour.
Check the connections to the TV.
When you plug your TV back in, it should reset itself.

If the problem still occurs, a part inside your TV may have went bad and causing it to shut down to prevent further damage. They call this "protection mode".
When this happens, taking the TV to the repair shop is the only way to find out what needs to be replaced and how much it cost.

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.

Same Same Here - SAMSUNG SUCKS!!! One day we lazy Americans will learn not to outsource so much and get back to good ole American Made.

It's very likely junk and would cost far more to repair with labour than to buy a new one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

It sounds like the high voltage transformer went bad, There is no fox for you to do unless you have experience and the knowledge to fix and repair solid state TV sets. Play it safe and call out a RCA service center to give you an estimate. Good Luck

A chirping sound usually means that one of the secondary supplies has shorted, most likely the horizontal output transistor. The power supply "chirps", which is the sound it makes when it protects itself from drawing too much current. The set should be serviced by someone with experience in Philips projection TV'.

Sounds like the flyback and horz output is shorted.
