Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/8550 All-In-One Thermal Printer
My machine was not used for several months. When I plugged it in it turned on normal, but in a few minutes there was no more power to it. I have checked all connections - is there a fuse or something else that could casue this?
Hello there, yes you have blown an internal fuse as you initially suspected. You have confirmed this by checking the power cables so you know that it is isolated to the internal workings of that Xerox printer. There is a good chance that it could be under warranty still and will be replaced for free. Either way you will need an authorized Xerox technician to work on it. You can reach Xerox at:

Sorry that there is no easy fix that we could provide for you! Please give Xerox a call, I think they should be there tomorrow (unless they consider it a holiday as some businesses are).
