Question about Washing Machines

Washing Machine Paddles

We have had the paddles in the drum replaced a couple of times. But two paddles still snap off. I have spent a lot of money getting some one, for two of them to keep snapping off. This time i ordered them off the internet. But could you advise if they slide on or do they need to be screwed on, as these seems to be small holes the paddles ?
It seems strange that only one paddle hasn't moved.

Your earliest response would be much appreciated

Kind regards

The drum paddles have came loose from the machine

Have all drum paddles come loose? Generally there is one anchor bolt accesed through on of the paddle holes, usually the third from the front. Press down and away from you towards the back of the machine and tighten the bolt
The paddles have slots on there underside and coresponding hooks on the drum of the machine, hence the "push down and away" action to hook up the paddles.

Hope this helps

Drum paddles keep falling out (Hotpoint BWD129 washer/dryer)

I had this problem, and I was advised by the guy who has apparently 'replaced hundreds of these bloody things on this housing estate' to never buy this machine because 'its cheap and ****'

However, if you bend the long central tab ,the one that looks like it does bugger all, upwards into the drum (carefully though, only bend it a little) this will increase the tab tension, and your lifters should last for over six months instead of the previous couple of washes mine was doing.
As for the comment on washing trainers, I put a single towel in my machine and the lifters broke...
