Question about Canon PowerShot A630 Digital Camera
The battery is weak. Repalce it.

Testimonial: "The batteries are brand new and they are not weak. I have tried all different kinds of batteries and none will work consistently. After taking one picture, the low battery icon lights up. I turn the camera off and then turn it back on and the low battery light is off and I can take another picture. Then the low battery light comes on again. It seems that the only way to use the camera is to turn it off after each picture is taken and then turn it back on again."

SOURCE: Low Batterie Sign
I had the same prolem. OK, try this. Try to discharge the AA batteries in some use, flashlight or else,,,,then recharge them, full charge, install the batteriers ...they should work fine....
I read somewhere that canon is able free of charge to correct a shortcircuit that the camera is susceptible to develop in the installation of batteries......But I hope the advise will work...
Remove batteries when not in use.

If you're sure that the batteries are full, then the power board has to be changed. It's the first board under back cover, with the buttons on the other side of it. Contact your local Canon service center. If they ask very much, you can contact me firstname.lastname@example.org and I can give you a price - I have access to new Canon parts.

Make sure you are using Lithium batteries. Alkaline batteries will go dead immediately in this camera. I've tried it.

Don't use regular alkaline batteries (even though you can...) It's a pain to splurge for the more expensive lithium or photo-specific batteries, but they do last. I take A LOT of pictures with my A590, and can usually get several hundred shots out of a set of good batteries. Try Energizer's web site for a coupon, sometimes they have them available.

Use NMH type batteries standard batteries are not good enough for the write load that this camera draws. I think it recomjmends this in your manual if you still have it.
also dont use rechargables
