Question about Broadcom Computers & Internet
I have Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. I cannot get an Internet connection. In my Network Connections, it shows "Local Area Connection, Network cable unplugged, Broadcom 440x ...". I took my cable to work and the cable works fine. The Broadcom 440x properties General tab shows that the "device is working properly" in the Device status box. How do I know if my Broadcom 440x is bad? If it is bad, how do I replace it? (I am comfortable taking my PC apart and adding/removing components.)
Are you sure the connection in "my network places" is for that adaptor? try going to system properties - hardware - deivice manager and check the network card is properly installed there. you may need to update the drivers which u will obvioucly have to download from another computer.
