Whenever the water gets below the waterline the toilet will make a noise that produces air bubbles and brings the tank back to the level of the waterline ? What can be done to fix this ?

I installed brand new Kohler toilet w/ a Fluidmaster float. From the beginning the tank empties just enough to fill back up. I also noticed air bubbles on bolt caps and the rest of the parts.

Check the flapper and seat. Ensure that the flapper chain is not tight or caught underneath flapper. Check floor underneath tank for any sighs of water leaking or seeping from tank. tight tank to bowl nuts. good luck

What do I do if the toilet continues to draw water and the water level on the fluidmaster 400 is properly set?

First is the water overflowing the overflow tube? This would indicate that the ballcock or flow master needs a seal or that it is rubbing the side of the tank (if it is rubbing the side of the tank twist it slightly). If the water level is always below the top of the tube but the flow master keeps on filling in bursts then you need to replace the flapper. Flappers will decompose slowly and black residue will come off to the touch. Wear gloves because this black will be on your hands for days. The flapper gets a slight ripple or curve that allows water to get by.

Fluidmaster 400

Change flush valve, it comes with tank to toilet gasket, which sounds like your problem.

My fluidmaster 400 anti siphon for toilet will not stop filling making pump run over and over

Hi turtlerose07...

Sounds like you have one or two problems with the fluidmaster 400.
1...The float is set too high allowing the water to overflow into the overflow pipe and allowing your pump to run too much.
2...Flapper valve inside at the bottom of the tank is not sealing properly, thus allowing water to leak and causing the fluidmaster to keep trying to fill the tank with water and causing the pump to run too much.

We replaced our 3 toilets with the Fluidmaster 400 and have had problems ever since. All the toilets are running water every 5 to 10 minutes and my water bill has doubled. What can we do?

Hello- If you replaced old ball and rod set with new fluidmasters they will most likely need to be adjusted, not all toilet tanks are of equal height. You will have to adjust water height, meaning you must keep water level below fill tube located in center of the toilet tank. Adjustment is done from bottom of the fluidmaster, they screw in and out to adjust height. You will notice threads along the bottom part of the fluid master, on the inside of the tank, they adjust up & down! Goodluck!

I installed a new complete Fluidmaster and filled it up with water but when flushing water comes out under the tank not under the toilet though.

probably needs a "doughnut" tank washer under tank..or try tightening the tank bolt..fluid master comes with a little rubber hose that goes to overflow tube

The lever must be held all the way down until all water leaves toilet or toilet does not flush and re-fill

Have you recently replaced the fill valve and flapper ?If so make sure they are interchagable and can produce close to the same GPF as original hardware.Fluidmaster has a tall tube that can be cut according to tank depth to accomidate water volume in tanksome times a little more water volume will do the trick. Also make sure flapper is staying open long enough to produce the required results.

I have installed a fluidmaster 400 bottom inlet

I have installed 400A or 400LS valves on systems as low as 30psi, but below that I don't know that it would work very well if you needed it to fill faster.

Keep in mind that your pressure to the toilet will be 1/2psi for every foot above the fill level of the tank, which is reduced by friction loss in the pipe and fittings on the way to the toilet.
