I need schematic for a 2610 Long Tractor

Before trying to repair a perceived hardware fault in the Tractor/Touch Pad/Track Pad/Mouse, you should consider simply plugging a USB Mouse into one of the USB ports, to see if that works by restoring your control of the desktop.

Alternative explanations for these symptoms include malware infections that have disabled your active desktop or a corruption of the Tractor/Track Pad/Touch Pad/Mouse Drivers. Try downloading, installing and purging any infection with Anti Malwarebytes, available free from:

www.malwarebytes.org

another issue could be Driver conflict or corruption. Try uninstalling all components of the drivers from add or Remove Programs or its equivalent in your Operating System and then restarting the notebook with the USB Mouse still connected and then reinstalling the relevant drivers from the Driver CD or downloading and installing the from the Support pages of the Acer website:

Acer aspire 1642 frozen mouse

Connect an external USB mouse to get at least the cursor to work, then download the latest touch pad drivers from Acer's site

Check that you have not disabled the mouse pad (FN and F7?)

If that fails, you may need to dismantle the laptop and check the small ribbon cable that connects the touch pad to the motherboard has not come adrift.

After that it looks like physical failure of the trackpad / touch pad assembly

Can't turn off mouse pad, i use a wireless, aspire 5720

To turn off the touch pad for this system, use the Fn+F7 key. This should
toggle your touch pad on and off.

The manual can be found here

The mouse pad on my Acer Aspire 5315-2713 is no longer working. I've had the notebook aprox. 1.5 years. What can I do?

Make sure the mouse pad is enabled. Check the manual or web site for your model. Generally, the mouse pad (and other functions) can be accessed by pressing the Fn key + a specific F_ key (1-12).

Sometimes this device or others can accidentally be disabled.

Acer aspire one touchpad right button not working

you can try using the function key ( fn ) and the touch pad key on my acer it is the F7 key hold the fn key and press and release the touch pad key that will turn the touch pad mouse off and on also goto control panel / mouse and try switch primary and secondary see if that will make the right button work if not its probly hardware related and your best bet is to keep the external mouse going rather than fixing that one
