Remove the control panel, you'll see a clear hose attached to the water level adjustment. Remove it from the adjusting switch and blow into it to clear excess water from the hose. This resets the water level and will only let the proper amount of water in for switch setting because of the pressure diaphragm in the switch.

SOURCE: Miele washing machine model W713 front load - issues

If it is leaking from the waste pump area it may be blocked by a small piece of clothing like a sock or something similar! This will also cause it to take too long to complete a cycle. Remove the rubber hose onto the waste pump and check inside the hose and the pump, make sure the pump spins freely and that nothing is stuck in the hose pipes leading to the pump

SOURCE: he2 front loading washing machine leak at the soap dispenser regi

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...

Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly (re: dlypooh), open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!

SOURCE: lg front load washer leaking from bottom of machine

I just fixed this problem - there is a rubber hose that hooks the bottom of the drum to the drain and recycle pumps - it is ribbed and it developed a hole. To confirm and repair (repair can be done from the front of the machine)

  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Drain whatever water you can from the machine using the stoppered hose behind the bottom left panel
  3. Unscrew the visible screw holding the plastic in place near the drain hose and filter
  4. If you can pull the plastic recessed piece out, there is one screw visible behind it - unswcrew this. If you cannot pull it out now, you should be able to get it after you remove the screws in step 10
  5. Pull out the detergent drawer (push in the middle back "botton" to release the drawer to pull out fully)
  6. Unscrew two screws in the drawer area.
  7. Pull the top of the electronics assembly away from the machine and lift the assembly out (place on top of the machine or hook it out of the way)
  8. Open the door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door seal (be careful as the seal can be torn)
  9. Pull the seal away from the metal front panel, then close the door
  10. Remove four screws at the top of the front panel (that were behind the eletronics assembly) - If you already have removed the screw from step 4, proceed, otherwise lean the top of front panel out and pop the plastic out, hold panel in place and remove that bottom screw from step 4.
  11. Lift front panel about two inches, swing the entire front panel to the right and set against something - You should now be able to see inside the machine.
  12. There is a black hose right in the middle - when I squeezed mine a little, I could see where the water was dripping out from the bottom.
  13. There are three clamps - two that can be squeezed with pliers and removed, one that has to be unscrewed (phillips head screw - it is a bit blind as the screw faces the back of the machine) - Once I got mine off - I could see the hole.
  14. Order replacement and reassmble in the opposite order

It could be air in the waterlines that are stuck, but that is a rare fault. But it happens on rare occasions.

I have a Miele W 2389. Message saying waterproof system has activated. Turn off stop ****. What does it mean?

Hi Dear. Seems like your machine had internal leak. Float switch has been activated. That triggers error message on the display. What you can do is: Tilt the machine 45 degree (Back or forward which ever easy for you) wait for leaked water come out underneath the machine. If water comes out of machine, it's a indication of one of the plastic component failed(it could be drain hose- tub to pin trap hose- may be inlet valve etc....) If there is no water coming out of machine, float switch may be malfunctioning. In that cases you need to contact Miele center to get help.Thanks.

Code E15 on a Bosch

it relates to a little float switch designed to detect water leaks I think. 1. turn off power and water 2. tilt back machine about 45% (have towels ready to soak up any spill off 3. when all the water has emptied, right machine and retry. if the problem keeps reoccurring, you may have a genuine water leak. Goo luck, hope this helps

How to fix leak in miele dish washer g1202 svi has F70 fault and small leak into catch pan

The reason the pump keeps running when F70 fualt appears is that the water leak circuit has tripped which causes the dishwasher controller to empty the dishwasher to avoid flooding of the motor and pump area.

The sources of leaks could be many, to start with hoses and water inlet valve. If you feel you can handle such repairs then go ahead otherwise call a technician.

Make sure the mains power is turned off when you are working with the dishwasher internals.

I have a Miele G640, the drain pump continues working even when I put the program on off.

Hi - theres a water leak to the base of the diswasher which causes the pump to run continously, you will need to determine its origin to minimize this from reoccurring.

Best way is to pull the machine out so you can tilt it backwards slightly to remove the acess panels either the bottom plate or an access panel in the front bottom of the machine to see where the leak maybe.

Miele W1203 washer drain and intake lights flashed together and now will not change modes. Can I reset it so that it will work again?

The flood protection device has activated. This is caused by a leak in the machine. It can also be caused if you are not careful when checking the drain pump, water may have gone back into appliance and activated flood protection device. If this is the case Tip machine forward, water in base of appliance will run out, and appliance will work. If Fault reoccurs then you have a leak.

Keeps flooding: pump comes on when switched off.

This sounds like an inlet valve problem, Replace it. Often a dirt particle gets in the valve.

Miele WT2670 message on screen "waterproof system activated". How do I reset?

I've just had this fault on this model, Its caused by a leak of water into the tray at the bottom, which activates a sensor to shut the water in flow off and thus prevent a flood. The fix is as for a posting by halldor to a question about the w4146 - ie.
Turn off and unplug, drain by the filter plug, lean the machine forward - the water flows out the bottom, plug in and it should work.
You do need to establish the cause of the leak first. Mine was a draw cord on some trousers dangling out of the door, thus preventing a proper seal, the water dribbled down the front and into the tray. Miele stated it could only be fixed by their service mechanics - I'd have had to wait 10 days!

Pump keeps running & willnot let water in

i assume you mean drain pump.
machine probably has water in base. if you can, take bottom kick plate off and mop out the water - disconnect from mains when you do this. alternatively, tilt machine back at 45deg and water will run out.
if fault reoccurs, then you have a leak

Bosch classixx dishwasher when we switch on the machine is continously draining and even when we open door it does not switch off . it seems to be float valve but how do you fix this thanks julie

there is a float switch in the base so that if water gets in then only thge drain pump operates. if you tilt back at 45deg, then water will come out and the machine will operate(swiotch off elec when you do this)
if it reoccurs then you have a leak
