Question about Apple 24" iMac Desktop

G5 dual processor keyboard freezes for 10 seconds or so

I am just happily going along typing and keyboard and mouses freeze. The G5 is running happily....
Running Tiger 3 gig ram
didn't know OS X was impacted my spybots and the like

You might need to check the usb connections for the keyboard and mouse. and see if they are correctly connected, also to clean the connections with a q-tip from time to time. Also you might want to switch to another usb port. to narrow down the issue. Because if say you change to another port and it still persists, even when running a usb hub with external power, and even a external firewire hub with usb connection then the issue would be the com board for the usb and firewire. and hopefully the G5's usb, firewire ports are on a separate board that is then ribbon wired to the main board. because if its just ports ribboned to the main board you will need to get a new logic board. and that is not cheap. unless you still have your applecare. then just take it in to get replaced.

My G5 freezes constantly. What can I do.


Try running Apple Hardware Test on the machine (it's one of the discs that came with the machine.) Also, if it's freezing by showing the spinning rainbow cursor (beachballing) you may have a failing hard drive. That wouldn't be uncommon for how old the machine is.

Do the key lights flicker when on freeze stage? I had such a problem with my keyboard, it died after around a month :(

Lenovo R60 freezes and no response from mouse or keyboard


1) try to RESTORE to some point where the computer was working.
2) Update the BIOS +CHIPSET and RUN it.
2a) see if working. If NOT working go the step #3
3) update the USB driver from the supplier company.
4) updae the driver for keyboard +mouse , uninstall and reinstall.

My Dell Logitech Wire mouse freezes randomly.


Update drivers to latest for the mouse. Replace the mouse's batteries & recheck. Hope this helps.

Mouse freezes


Hello, it can depend on many things
1. Update your mouse driver (enter the manufacture site, find there model of your mouse, and download drivers for it)
2. If your mouse is not laser (working with ball) open under the ball and clean it.
3. It can be virus or spyis infected your PC. uptade your virus definition and run deep system scan.
4 If your mouse has law bit, you have to change it. (if nothing solve problem do this)
