Nokia 6111 turns itself off after a few minutes when turned on.
When I turn the phone on the screen lights up like it is about to come on fully and it stays this way for a few minutes or so and then turns itself off. This happenes without reaching full on phone status so I cannot use the phone in anyway. The phone has been temperamental lately and I think it is on it's last legs anyway. The only way I can charge the battery is by switching the phone off and I did this yesterday and haven't been able to switch the phone back on. Please help....

you turn it off by pressing Clear once more. You can also find the flashlight from the main menu by selecting 'Extras,' 'Flashlight,' and then 'On/Off.' The Flashlight icon appears on the display when the flashlight is on.if this didnt not turn off the flash, then try the hard reset remove the batteries and leave for about 5mins, then back
What I would do is turn it off completelly for a few minutes. take out the battery and let it cool down for a few minutes. If you have a battery that if fully charged put it back in and turn on your phone. if your battery is not totally charged, charge it. A phone whose battery is not fully charged may cause your phone to flip out. sometimes it's also water damage to the phone that causes it to turn off on its own.
Water damage happends from body heat, from taking it to the bathroom when you're in the shower, or from putting it directly in water.
No if you had stored the pic in the memory card , if not you lose all the data as the phone software is corrupted you need to reinstall the software from the local phone service center this will fix the issue...................................
I had the same problem with my girlfriends 6111. I managed to fix the phone, but i did have to open it up myself and get a new ribbon cable to replace the damanged one. Basically one of the springs had been pushed the wrong way and this was acting like a scissor action on the ribbon cable for the screen. It cuts part of the cable so no image can be seen but power is still sent, thats why it only powers up white. Doing this yourself will void the warrenty but the warrenty on this phone had expired and i was being quoted £35-£40 to get it fixed. I managed to do it for a fraction of the cost!!!
I have fix alot of those 6111 with the flash light problem....it needs to be reflash the firmware on the phone although i think it is a manufacturer fault on the main-board but take the mobiles to a repair center and have them reflash the phone.
