no ENGINE TOLD AT ALL, SOME NEED HIGHER TORQUE TRANNY

must fit and not make the TCM angry.

or ask any transmission repair shops for the list.

Gene, there are freeze plugs on the engine in which transmission would have to be removed to access. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

There should be a tag on the tranny to tell you, might have to look a little but you will find it.

There is a plug on the side of the transmission with a square hole in it (3/8 inch) passenger side usually. Remove it, if fluid doesn't come out of it, ad some until it does. It is full then. Auto parts stores will tell you the grade you need. If it's been a really long time. On the bottom there is a same plug. Drain it and fill.

Will it physically fit? yes. Will it be a direct replacement any everything hook right up and plug right in? If we are talking about an automatic then no. 1994's wiring was completely different than the 1997. Can it be made to work? possible, but I believe it would be more trouble trying to make it work than if the correct transmission were located and installed. If it is a cost issue where he has a good trans out of a 1994 he might see if a salvage yard will do some partial trading for the correct trans.

What are you asking hear, if you know wear its leaking then you have to bite the bullet and fix it, there is no easy way, the only other way is you have to take the cross member out and drop the tranny down to get a clear shot at it its up to you.

Firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 cyls. # 1-3-5 on drivers side front to back and cyls. # 2-4-6 passenger side front to back.
