Question about Microsoft Press Internet Explorer 6

Open Question

Deselecting tabs on a Purchase order page

Hi I have a little annoying problem where I find it takes all my time to de-select all items on a page I work on. For instance I bring it up using Microsoft Internet Explorer, but I have to de-select all the items I don’t want to include in the Purchase order I am working on.

I do lots of these and find it take all my time de-selecting the little tabs. I know there is a way to select all the tabs all at once by right clicking on the page, encoding and then clicking auto select, but I wondered if there was a way to do the opposite, just so I don’t have to painstakingly undo each individual one.

SOURCE: everytime I open a second tab in internet explorer

You most likely have a problem with pre-installed ADD-ONS, like YAHOO COMPANION TOOLBAR or something like it. Try this:

1. Launch IE without the add-ons by clicking Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons).

2. Click "Tools" from the toolbar and then select "Internet Options".

3. Click the "Programs" tab, then the "Manage Add-ons" Button.

4. This will display a list of add-ons. The problem add-on(s) is probably one of the ones with “(Not Verified)” in the publisher field. If you click on the entry, you can set the add-on to enable or disable. Disable each “(Not Verified)” entry until you find the add-on that was causing the problem.

The swivel joint on my quinny buzz has just broke, were can i get the replacement part

Hi

Do you mean the front wheel unit?

If your Buzz is under 2 years old please contact your retailer with proof of purchase for a replacement to be ordered under warranty terms and conditions.

If it is over 2 years old or you do not have a proof of purchase but you are in the UK you can order via your local Quinny retailer or direct with customer care team on 01284 413 141 Mon-Thur 8.30-6.30 / Fri 8.30-4.30 (Excluding Bank Holidays) to purchase the item.

If you're not in the UK please visit www.quinny.com and select the country you're in, then use the "Contact Us" tab on the right side of the screen for your enquiry to be sent through to the customer care team in your country who can assist with spare parts required.

All the pictures are looking small.sometimes look big

If you enter the menu, select picture size and de select "Auto".
What is happening is the TV is reading data lines from the transmission, as it should, and is changing the picture settings from 16 X 9 to 5 X 4 through Expand etc. Deselecting Auto sizing will stop that.
Hope it fixes your problem.

Hi,my neighbour has lent me his D500 latitude,it is really slow opening pages and everything up.when i browse the web,ie becomes unresponsive,it freezes, only the cursor will move, but it wont click on...

Please follow the steps below to make it faster a bit....

Click Start-> Run, type msconfig and click Ok. The System Configuration Utility will start. Now click on Startup tab. You will see a list of programs which starts automatically when Windows starts.
In that list, uncheck the program items, which you generally don't use. It will make your computer a little faster.
The above procedure can also be modified a little, that is uncheck all items under Startup tab, restart your computer.
Now check one item at a time, restart computer and test the speed of your computer. This way, you will find the programs, which are making the computer show. Remember to use a pen and paper to take a note about which items you are selecting or unselecting.

Please try one more thing:

Open Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> System. Click on Advanced tab. Under Performance, click on Settings, click on Adjust for best performance, click Apply and Ok.

Then do this Click->Start->Programes->Accessories->System Tools->Disk Clean Up and select the C:Drive and clean it

Printed copy in correct page order- HP officejet 6110

Hi :)

This may work and its only a few simple clicks :) but it will take less time then re ordering you pages :)

IN the printer settings or Print preferrences there should be a tab for "Advanced settingings"

Go to Control Panel and select "Printers"
Select the general tab and at the bottom of the window select "PRINTING PREFERENCES"
another window will open
from here select the Advanced tab
Find Layout Options in the list
click it you should see "Page Order" and a drop down menu for front to back or back to front.
switch it to whatever order it is that you need and test it out.

or if that doenst work try this:

Set the most frequently used copy settings as the default. This includes changes to Copy Setup options in the menu system, as well as other front panel copy settings.
  1. Make any desired changes to the copy setup from the menu or the front panel copy option.
  2. Press Menu .
  3. Press 1 , then press 4 . The settings are now saved.

these are the only ways I have found to correct the problem.

hi lilnemo91b, try this to resolve the problem.

Go to start>Printers and Faxes, right click on the printer icon and select Printing Prefferences
Click on the advanced tab, turn off the duplex settings by deselecting the 2-sided printing option
Click on the Print Setup tab and make sure print last page first is not selected in the check box.

Hope this helps.
