Question about Dell XPS M1530 Notebook
I have Dell XPS M1530 with Vista Home Premium SP2, cannot access through Dell Media Direct due to bitlocker drive encryption.
Any Solutions Please.
Does not know much about bitlocker.
Dell Media Direct worked when the system had Vista Home Premium SP1, I updated the system to SP2 and no clue why it stopped working.
Sounds like the hard drive was encrypted prior to the upgrade to SP2.
If that's the case, you may have created a password during the encryption process. See this reference to recall the steps for encrypting a hard drive with Bitlocker.
Follow the steps for unlocking your hard drive and you should be ok.
If for some reason, you never encrypted the hard drive and do not have a password, then the encryption may have been caused by some bug in the upgrade and you should contact Microsoft to resolve.
