HI.This will occur when the optical assembly becomes unstable. this ((Whole One Piece)), assembly incorporates the spin/load motor, optics housing /arm, tracking device and tracking rail. This is connected to the loading dock assembly. This 'NO Disc' or CD NOT PLAYABLE, code is the result of a failed or burned out lens. It is possible that you have a dirty lens cap. you can try using a cleaning disk in this case to confirm actual lens failure. if the cleaning doesn't restore normal reading capabilities, this will confirm my diagnosis.

You will need to have the optical assembly replaced in this case. once replaced, your unit will be able to read and track once more.

When I try to play a CD I get an "err" message. Using store-bought CD's, not ones that have been copied. I have the Emerson PD6559BL portable CD player Love this CD player so I hope you...

Extract from your cd player manual:

"This CD player can play normal CDs p/us CD Recordable (CD-R)
and CD Rewriteable (CD-RW) discs. However the playability of CD-RIRW discs
may be affected by the type of software that was used in 'ripping' the tracks from
the original discs and 'burning' the tracks onto the blank media. Playability may
a/so be affected by the quality and condition of the blank media you use for
recording. 100% compatibility cannot be guaranteed, this is nof an indication of
any problems with your player."

So try to burn the disc with another software or buy different CD-r.
You also want to make sure that you Burned the tracks as audio files and not MP3 file, because your player can not read MP3s.

Hope this helps.

How to burn MP4 to DVD playable on a DVD player?

The best and most reliable DVD burning tool that I've ever used is a tool called DVD Creator. It's able to burn all kinds of videos to DVD disc. After that, you can view the DVD on DVD player. It also lets you edit videos and create DVD menus. Easy to use and professional. http://www.dvd-creator-converter.com/tutorials/convert-mp4-mpeg4-to-dvd.html How to burn MP4 MPEG4 to DVD playable on DVD player

I have a JVC DVD Player (XV-N670B), (XV-N672S). I recently purchased a BluRay DVD and after inserting the DVD into the player, "Disc Error" appears. Would you tell me if my player can...

Sorry to say, no; this is a model limitation not a fault as such. XV-N670B is a DVD player, and the playable formats are:

DVD-Video, DVD-RW/-R, +RW/+R, CD, CD-R/RW, SVCD/VCD, WMA/MP3/JPEG, DivX. No Blu-ray support.

The JVC XV-BP11 and XV-BP1 do play Blu-Ray discs, as they are specifically Blu-Ray players (according to the JVC website).

I have heard of quite a few Blu-Ray players allowing DVD playback. The XV-BP1 supports the following playable media: BD-R/RE (Blu-Ray), DVD-Video/-R/-RW, R/ RW, CD, USB (again, this is from the same JVC website). You would need to purchase this or a similar Blu-Ray player to enjoy the benefits it has to offer (but it's up to you if you want one of those later on).

DVDs are still good, the 'disc error' message on your DVD player is normal due to the wrong media format inserted. The bonus here is it didn't cost you anything to ask, and you don't need a workshop quote on repairs.

This is the best free advice I can offer.

call bose for repair on this unit. The laser could be dirty but in most cases there is another failure. Possibly in the motor control circuit. They have a flat rate repair service.

I can play a Cd that In have burnt on any of my four CD players, but the Matsui one gives a problem. Making and breaking. Any ideas please.

Some CD players are not designed for CD-R disc's. Most are, but there are still a few out there that won't. Check with your owners manual and see if it had CD-R, CD-RW listed as a type of disc playable for it.

I am not sure what you meant by "making and breaking" could you elaborate on this phrase please.

Let me know if you need any more help.
