Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5300 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have had error codes 3610 and 3501 and 3502 since installing my Kodak 5300 and I can not calibrate my print cartridges as it can not detect the calibration alighnment page

Call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 . this is a problem e cant fix ourselves. but dont worry its jst a problem with the software of kodak. printer is fine

We cannot get out printer to print. easyshare


we replaced printhead and it wants us to calibrate and replace ink color ink cartridge, and before we put the printhead in , it had 1/2 full color in cartridge

Just installed new printhead and new black and colored ink cartridges. I do not have a calibration calibration sheet any longer. This is for Kodak easyshare 5300 printer.RAU


When you install new printhead in the printer, you will get a message" New printhead detected ,load papers in paper tray and press start. If u do not get this message,that means you have not installed printhead properly. Answer : To resolve this error condition, correctly position a calibration page on the scanner. See the User's Guide for more information. How do I resolve the error message "Cover open"? error code : 3501 Question : How do I resolve the error message "Cover open"? Answer : To resolve this error condition, close the access door. The printer will not operate while the door is open. How do I resolve the error message "Color ink cartridge missing or not installed correctly"? Error Codes : 3511 Question :
How do I resolve the error message "Color ink cartridge missing or not installed correctly"?
Answer :
To resolve this error condition, reinstall the ink cartridge:
  1. Remove the color ink cartridge:
    1. Open the printer access door by lifting from the front center of the unit.
    2. Wait until the printhead is idle and silent, then pinch the latch on the color ink cartridge with your thumb and forefinger and lift it out of the printhead.
  2. Check the two electrical contacts on the ink cartridge for small marks, which should appear if the cartridge was installed correctly.

    If the electrical contacts do not have small marks:
    1. Reinstall the ink cartridge, making sure you press down on it until it clicks into position.
    2. Remove the color ink cartridge, then check the two electrical contacts on the ink cartridge again for small marks. Repeat if necessary.
    3. Reinstall the ink cartridge.
  3. Close the printer access door.

NOTE: See the User's Guide for more information about removing and installing the ink cartridge.
If the error persists:
  1. In the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, select the Help (?) icon.
  2. Select Maintenance.
  3. Select Firmware Upgrade, then follow the prompts to download the latest version of firmware, free of charge.

Kodak 5300 print quality


The problem is in your printhead in which the cartridges sit on.

You will need to contact Kodak for a replacement print head. Once replaced this will correct your issue.

turn off the printer
unplug the power chord at the back of the printer
wait for 5-10 sec.
replug power chord
turn on the printer

Well, here is the proper way of fixing or troubleshooting that paper jam error in your printer

Open the printer access door and remove both of the ink cartridge, then remove also the printhead, after that close the printer access door, without those parts. Then it will show a message in the printer screen, "Printhead is missing or has come loose" or "Printhead Not Detected" Install the printhead, just the printhead without the ink cartridges. After that close the printer access door. Then it will show you a message"Ink cartridges is not installed,install ink cartridges". then open again the printer access door, then install the black ink cartridge without the color ink cartridge. then close the printer access door, then message must be " Color ink cartridge is not installed, install color ink cartridge" then install the color ink cartridge." the message must be,"New printhead is detected calibration require, load paper and press start"

Thats the way of overiding the paper jam error message of your kodak all in one printer

Kodak 5300 not printing colors


Kodak told me to take the printhead off and reseat it several times, which I did. I then deep cleaned it, calibrated it, and replaced the color cartridge. It didn't solve the problem. Kodak will replace the printhead for free, and after I return the defective one, will send me a free color and black cartridge. Very nice service. I've been very happy with the 5300.
