Question about Washing Machines

The washing machine has a level switch which activates when the water level creates a certain pressure in a tube leading to the switch.
The machine should just sit there until it gets the water to work with that the programme asks for
Make sure that there are no restrictors fitted to the Cold Water inlet valve
It was common for them to have a washer with a smaller hole in the centre than the normal opening for the valve
This cut down water flow in areas where the pressure was OTT
You need to disconnect the fill hoses , take out the filters and look into the opening with a torch
You can take out the restrictors with a piece of strong wire bent over to form a hook
