Reasons to unlock your Motorola device

You know I wish I could post a solution but I cant and I am working on it because i am in the same situation. I know that there is codes for your problem as there is for mine. My problem is the phone is unlocked to the carrier but is locked to use in the applications. So to bypass this one needs the access codes to enable them to read the menu the where ie: passwords for those applications are stored. For example to read the IME: of your fone you type *#06# and it will give this to you. ONe does not need to visit his Carrier or Company that supplies but simply type these codes into his fone. Hopefully someone in the know will answer this and do what we require. T-RAV it sounds like you are in the same situation or am i wrong......how ever I will not abandon you and will continue to search for a solution.

If I remember correctly (and its been a while) the v3xx doesn't have any public unlock utilities that don't cost $. Some places to look for these things would be howardforums.com and planetmotox.net. They may have some free utilities/methods but at the least they will give you the proper information.

Hopefully this will work for you. Go to your cell phone provider and ask them for a 3G Sim card. To my knowledge all V3XX are 3G. I discovered that my service provider had 3G SIM cards after I purchased my husband a v3xx and he had problems with his service. I was told by the service technician when I called for help to try the 3G and it made the difference for my husbands v3XX. I am not certain this will fix your issues but it is always best to use an item t hat has been made special for that phone type... Meaning 3G.... I hope it works. I don't know if it will cost you anything or not. In my state they do not charge for SIM cards. But I have heard that some other states charge around $20 for a SIM card.
