Oh dear you have suffered what is probably the worst that can happen to this machine. When your original print head failed it took out the logic board with it. They should have been replaced as a pair at the same time. thats what we (canon engineers) do. Fortunately the logic board is not to expensive . The logic board part number is QM3-2738.
PS. I take no responsibilty if the logic board does not cure as although the print head works in another machine it may not in this one. Srri
It sounds like you have an electronic problem, it is most likely a faulty scanner or logic board. although a faulty print head can take out a logic.check that there is no burning smell or damage evident on the underside of the print head before trying a logic. the machine will require disassembly and parts replacement.
According to the Service Manual Error Code List these are the two possible candidates to cause this failure: - Purge unit (Part-No. QM2-1307) - Logic board ***’y (Part-No. QM2-1272/QM2-1273) which means, this device has to go to the service. (Or to bereplaced) Best Regards cominarosa
hi guys, BTW, did you refill the cartridge?. First, try to press START button (Black or Colour). Perform this procedure for each cartridge. If the problem still persist there some possibilities: cartridge error, carriage part or logic board is faulty. Then you need to replace faulty part. Regards
