Yes ! it is motherboard issue and need to repair/replace that.

I'm not familiar with your laptop but I googled it and there are many possible solutions. If you have access to another PC, look at this link and try out the various suggestions:

i would take it back straight away if you start messing with it they might accuse you of damaging it and decline the warranty on it....

You stated 'a small amount' and if this is the case, I would leave the power off for a few days, sitting in a warm place to see if your audio returns.

If your water is not too saturated with minerals making it conductive and operating it wet hasn't done any damage, you may luck out.

I have cured some nasty spills (cat urine anyone?) by bathing the device in warm distilled water and allowing it DAYS to dry before restoring power.
