HP Dv9500 not charging battery

Sounds like the AC port is faulty, these can be a real pain to get hold of replacements and a complete nightmare to replace if you are not very experienced with a solder iron! my advice would be take it to your local computer centre to have the port replaced but expect to pay around £70. if you do attempt to do this yourself you will need solder wick to soak up the solder holding the port in, a very steady hand and time.
