SOURCE: remote control not responding

Perhaps you can try what I do when my KV24FV300 runs through channels and will not stop.  Hard to watch and remote will not work.  Nothing works but on and off from set.

Sony Says:  Take all batteries out of ALL remotes that you use in any way for that set, VCR, etc.  ALL batteries out.  Turn TV off at set.  Unplug TV.  Wait at least 15 minutes then replace all batteries in ALL remotes.  Plug TV back in and turn TV on from set.

Maybe, just maybe it will work.  If it does not work why not call Sony, they always say that cannot happen but they have a solution for it.

SOURCE: Opening the case of a JVC Remote Control

Not having seen that particular one, remote cases usually have a couple screws under the battery to lock the case together and then a number of plastic tabs around the perimiter that hold the joint closed. find the screws (sometimes they hide them under labels) - I don't know what it is about screws that manufacturers don't like to show. Either think they are not cosmetic or don't want us take-it-apart maniacs to get in. Anyway, get the screws loose then (this is the hard part) carefully pry open the case joint, feeling where and how the tabs snap out and then be careful not to have everything inside go flying when the last one lets loose. Almost impossible to not leave little gouge marks in the joint.
Hope Ya Fis It!

How to program JVC vcr/dvd/tv remote 076D0FB010 for taping future tv shows. I can only tape shows live on my JVC HR-XVC1U machine.

It sounds like the remote you have, the JVC 076D0FB010, does not have the capability to program future recordings on your JVC HR-XVC1U or HR-XVC27U machines. This feature is typically called "timer recording" or "scheduled recording," and it is controlled by the VCR's built-in programming features, rather than by the remote.
You may want to check the user manual for your JVC HR-XVC1U and HR-XVC27U machines to see if there is a way to set timer recordings using the VCR's own controls. If the manual does not provide instructions for timer recording, it is likely that this feature is not available on your VCRs.
Alternatively, you can consider purchasing a universal remote that has the ability to program future recordings. Some popular universal remotes include the Logitech Harmony and the Philips Universal Remote Control.

How to find a manual for JVC LP21036-039

There isn't a standalone manual for this remote. It is not a programmable remote. It is the basic operation remote supplied with JVC VCR models:

HR-XVC27U Learn More HR-XVC29UJ Learn More HR-XVC37U Learn More
You could go download the manual for one of these VCR and read through the relevant sections. All they'll do though is tell you how the VCR operates from the remote.

Iam Trying to set a JVC remote to my TV but I dont have the manual for the remote. I think the remote model is 076N0ES010 it came with a VCR.

The 076N0ES010 came with two different JVC VCRs (HR-A591U and HR-A592U). The remote does not come with multiple codes and will only control JVC TVs. It's possible that it will not control JVC TVs after the VCRs were made (2003 is the listed release date for the HR-A592U). The manual for the HR-A591U is here: http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/98/82885ien.pdf . See page 11 of the pdf.

You will need a different universal remote to control the VCR and the TV together. Alternatively, control each device separately.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Changing Remote Control Code

This Remote is capable of transmitting two control codes; one set
to respond to A code control signals and another set to respond to
B code control signals. This Remote control is preset to send A
code signals because your VCR is initially set to respond to A code
signals. You can easily modify your VCR and the Remote to
respond to B code signals. When using two JVC VCRs, set two
VCRs and their Remotes to different codes, so that you can
operate these VCRs separately.

A
Set remote control code for Remote

A
Press and hold A/B.
B
Press the Number key .2..
C
Press OK, and release A/B.

.
The Remote now can transmit B code control signals.
B
Check remote control code for VCR

Press and hold 4
on the VCR for more than 5 seconds while the
VCR is turned off. The code currently set appears on the display
panel.

C
Change code for VCR

Press any key on the Remote. The VCR now responds to B code
control signals.

.
To set the Remote and the VCR back to A code control signals,
repeat the same procedure as shown above except pressing the
Number key .1”
in step B
of 1
1111.
To control two VCRs with the same Remote

You can control two JVC VCRs by switching the remote control
code for the Remote between A and B (.
step A
AAAA), keeping two
VCRs to different control codes.

.
To change only the remote control code for the Remote, DO
NOT perform steps B
BBBBand C
CCCC.
