Re: balance CN1401 charger

Am trying to find some info for you on this
What is the part number that your current charger has on it, just to make sure that I'm looking for the correct part? Or, are you saying that you don't have any charger.

My charger to my laptop had stopped working so I threw it away. Do you know where I can go and get another charger from?

The best thing that you can do is to go to the brand service center and bring your laptop so that they can provide the type of charger fit for the unit. Using replacement charger bought from anywhere is not advisable since this may not be compatible with your unit, and besides, durability is the issue. Please buy a charger from the brand service center or to a computer shop that is authorized supplier of your unit. This would certainly assure you of your money's worth. If you can't find the charger in your locale, you can order thru e-bay. I just hope this info helps.

My laptop runs very slow on Mains power, but runs fine and fast on battery???? (Acer Aspire 5535) This only started approx 2 months ago. Tried all the usual clean ups, registry ect, but didd not help. Is...

Have you checked the power plan settings? This is usually accessed by a battery/plug icon on bottom right of the screeen, if not then on the control panel.

right click on the icon and select power options. This gives you options for balanced, high performance or power saver. Clicling on change settings allows you to set CPU performance for mains and battery for each power setting.

for instance I usually use the balanced setting with a fast CPU when using mains and slower (to conserve battery power ) on battery.

Balance CN1401 tv tuner software

Hmmm... interesting finds for this model. Apparently built buy ECS for Walmart distribution under the name of Balance.

There is no Balance website and no information from ECS. But from what I have gathered this evening, from searching online, it should be the same as the ECS line of laptops from the same time period.

Go here -

Scroll down to model 332 and try the TV driver listed on the bottom of the page. Most of these models from ECS share the same LifeView TV Tuner driver.

I couldn't find any relevant specific information for Balance CN1401. Other than it being an ECS built laptop for Walmart Balance branding. So theoretically, and ECS driver should work. If that one from the 332 doesnt work, then check some of the other models listed.

Is this going to be for Windows or a Linux based operating system?
