Both front wheels are loose and worn out, and tend to go to the left rather than straight. I want to buy a replacement wheels for this classic model Peg Perego Martinelli. It is dark blue and has a basket at the bottom.

You need to regularly lubricate the wheels...Just get some WD-40 with the little straw attachment & spray into where the wheel meets the frame...Make sure you lubricate the wheels regularly...I had the same problem & call Peg toll free - that was the answer & it fixed my problem too!!

SOURCE: Peg Perego Duette steering mechanism not working.
6 screws and one bolt hold the steering wheel on. The screws are obvious but to get to the bolt you need to remove the cover, it is directly above the steering wheel adjustment button, just pop it off with a flat head screw driver. then you can easily open it up and see what broke, call customer service and get the replacement part. I assume your cable broke...mine did too. <!-- from fixya rte -->
