Question about HP Pavilion dv6000t Notebook
My HP Pavilion DV6000 will not charge any more. It has been saying that it is plugged in and charging but it has been at 78% for the past 4 hours. Is there anything I can do, or do I need to buy a new battery?
The charging process is suspended temporarily because the battery has overheated. My brand new DV5 (3 weeks old) does the same, because it's really hot here.
Turn the laptop off and the battery should charge. Also, when you do not need the battery and are running off the mains, remove it from the laptop. Keeping a battery at 100% wears it 4 times faster than doing regular charge/discharge cycles.
