I have a WD 250 GB external HDD , and all data has just vanished off of it , as if someone had formatted it. No one has touched the harddrive it just happened one fine day when i plugged it back into my laptop.
I dont think its an electrical or mechanical phenomena .. seems like a sick virus to me .. but to have the disk in a completely formated feel is weird. I have put data recovery on and i still am waiting for a file to be found, With 40 % recovery process complete. I just hope there is a solution to this soon.
